Where It All Began…

In 2012 my four kids and I spent six months living in an old RV at a local campgrounds in Central Illinois. Believe it or not, it wasn’t as glamorous as it sounds.

We were stuck and I was lost in just about every sense of the word.

One day I attended a single moms program, sponsored by WCICFM 91.5, and was given a little hope. That afternoon I posted a craigslist ad while telling God... “I don’t know what my real job is supposed to be, but until you tell me, I’m going to put an ad online to clean houses.”

That’s when Hire A Housewife was born.

I didn’t know I was creating a business. I was just trying to survive. God intervened time and again in my life and before long a business is just what I had. I’m including a video here that was created 18 months in...

It’s now been 7 years and so much has changed!

God has continued to surprise and delight me at every turn as I have learned to step out in faith.

In 2017 I started another business called Peoria Music Live. I’m very proud of our success!

On October 10, 2019, I got married. After nearly 16 years of being single parents for both of us, Mike & I found each other and are looking forward to sharing the rest of our lives with each other.

I also write a personal blog, Promise After Promise, where I share about God’s grace and how it changed my life.

I hope to write a book that shares my experiences and what I’ve learned from them soon.
