I’m excited that so many people are interested in being a part of this! It’s one step at a time…
Before you get started, take a minute to frame your day positively. Your attitude about today will make a HUGE impact on how it goes.
Think of three things you are thankful for.
Me? Today I’m thankful that while my kitchen is in a little bit of chaos, we have enough food for the five of us for the week. I’m thankful that my husband is able to work from home (officially starting today.) And I’m thankful that I so many people want to connect this way on here! Together we are making a difference, without ever leaving our homes!
Check out the video below if you haven’t already seen it on Facebook.
Here is a short synopsis of the video…
If it doesn’t belong in the coat closet, put it where it belongs.
Don’t go clean that other area. Just put it down and come back to the coat closet.
If nobody will wear something that’s in there, donate it or throw it away.
Bag/box up your items to donate and put them somewhere out of the way. When you make your next grocery store run, drop these items off at the charity of your choice.
Working conditions will NOT be perfect for anybody. That’s okay! You can do this!
There will be a Facebook poll going up this morning, asking if people would prefer to do this in a Facebook Group so you can share your photos and such. But for now, just send them to us! Before & after or just after! Totally up to you!
I also want to see pictures of your “I’ve Decided” statements…word them however you want, but let’s go into this having made a decision… “I’ve decided to get my home cleaner/more organized during the quarantine.” (Here’s mine from yesterday’s post…)
Notice the whiteboard wasn’t even cleaned well before I wrote on it and took a photo… because this isn’t about being perfect. This is about being real with each other! Don’t be discouraged if your challenge of the day doesn’t come out perfectly. It’s all a process and you will end up in a better place than when you started.
